Greetings Region 8 and Happy Holidays!

This will be a short and sweet newsletter so everyone can recover from the holidays.

In last month’s letter, I thanked Kate O’Connor, Diane Holston, Jamie Fell, Jane Hannigan, Molly Maloney and Bobbi Carleton for their generous donations to make the PM Delegate Travel Fund Silent Auction a huge success. The money raised in this silent auction helps our Participating Member delegates offset some of the travel expenses for Omaha. We now have the balance on our account, so any PMs looking to have a portion of their expenses offset, please email me your receipts and I will arrange repayment.

I haven’t heard from anyone regarding Regina Cristo’s initiative to put together a group to create a Region 8 Adult Amateur Freestyle Award. She envisions it applying to Training – 4th level with cash prizes.  If you are interested in helping her create this exciting challenge, please contact me and I will pass on your info to her.

The increase in dues I mentioned in last month’s newsletter were approved by the BOG. These will go into effect for the 2025 Membership year. In most cases, there have been no change in the various dues for 7 years. While inflation has risen steadily in that time, our dues and membership numbers have remained stagnant.

As the cold weather sets in and we start to look for educational opportunities to fill in for the downtime, D4K has announced a few programs that may be of interest. All the best,

Helen
